My name is Betty Hagen and I am a miniature artisan. I was born in Hong Kong many years ago and came to the United States when I was 6. I am practically a native San Franciscan, having lived there all my life. Honestly I used to hate dolls when I was a child. That all changed when I went to the University of California, Santa Cruz to study. Dolls had become a distraction and a hobby ever since I laid my eyes on my little blue haired Blythe. I started making miniatures in 2005 from my love of unusual dolls, mainly Blythes and ball joint dolls.

Live Mini is born from that love of dolls and miniatures. I love to experiment and design. I currently make miniatures of all sizes (1/3" real life size to 1/24" real life size) as well as accessories for dolls and humans. I also make the occasional clothing pieces for dolls and humans too whenever I have the time. The actual location of Live Mini had changed and will probably continue to change but the basic principles of Live Mini is the same: providing handmade miniatures made as realistic as possible.

I am currently a member and guest instructor of CDHM (Custom Doll Houses and Miniatures) since 2007 and a member of IGMA (International Guild of Miniature Artisans) since 2010. I am also a member of Artisans in Miniature (AIM), Den of Angels (DOA), and many other doll forums.
